BREAKING NEWS: Brooks Found Not Guilty
Former Scripps ABC affiliate WEWS/5 "NewsChannel 5" sports anchor Terry Brooks has been found not guilty of all 9 counts against him. That's according to the station itself, which posted the news on its own website Thursday afternoon. The station reports that the Cuyahoga County jury found Brooks not guilty on four counts of rape, four counts of attempted rape and one count of kidnapping. The week legendary Cavaliers' radio voice Joe Tait was scheduled to undergo heart surgery, illness brought him to the Cleveland Clinic earlier than expected. Plain Dealer sportswriter Terry Pluto has more: Veteran Cavaliers broadcaster Joe Tait was taken to Cleveland Clinic Sunday afternoon after suffering chest pains and dizziness. Here's the latest on iconic Cleveland Cavaliers radio voice Joe Tait, who is preparing for heart surgery on this, the Cavs' regular season opening day. WGAR’s Morning Show Adds Local Voice
As noted on our Twitter feed, Clear Channel Cleveland country outlet WGAR/99.5 is adding a well known local radio voice to the, uh, mix in its new morning drive show. Local radio vet LeeAnn Sommers, who worked until recently in Denver, returns to Northeast Ohio to join incoming host Tim Leary on WGAR's new "Morning Showgram".
